At the end of 2024, national standards were adopted, harmonized with European standards by the translation method. The primary executor of the work is the Department of Transport Safety Research, Norms, Standardization and Metrology of State Enterprise "State Road Transport Research Institute". Individual specialists from the Laboratory of Active Safety of Vehicles and the Laboratory of General and Passive Safety of Vehicles were also involved as experts.

According to the order of SE "UkrNDNTS" dated 12/26/2024 No. 333, the following shall enter into force on June 1, 2025:

• DSTU EN 1501-1:2022 (EN 1501-1:2021, IDT) "Garbage trucks. General technical and safety requirements. Part 1. Rear-loading garbage trucks";
• DSTU EN 1501-2:2022 (EN 1501-2:2021, IDT) "Garbage trucks. General technical and safety requirements. Part 2. Side-loading garbage trucks"
• DSTU EN 1501-3:2022 (EN 1501-3:2021, IDT) "Garbage trucks. General technical and safety requirements. Part 3. Front-loading garbage trucks";
• DSTU EN 1501-5:2022 (EN 1501-5:2021, IDT) "Garbage trucks. General technical and safety requirements. Part 5. Lifting devices for installation on garbage trucks".

Also, by order of the State Enterprise "UkrNDNC" dated 30.12.2024 No. 336, a national standard was adopted with effect from June 01, 2025:

• DSTU 7013:2024 "Buses specialized for transporting schoolchildren. Technical requirements" (to replace DSTU 7013:2009, the validity of which will be canceled from June 01, 2027).
