10 years since the UN General Assembly adopted resolution A/RES/70/212, which proclaimed February 11 the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. More than 60 countries have joined this initiative. Ukraine is among them.

In our country, 46% of women scientists are women. It ranks 12th in the number of women scientists among 41 countries worldwide. Ukrainian women work successfully in various fields of science. The most significant number of women scientists is found in the fields of social sciences (65.8%), medical sciences (65.2%), and humanities (60.3%); in technical sciences, the proportion is 34.1%.
