STATE ENTERPRISE "STATE ROAD TRANSPORT RESEARCH INSTITUTE": COURSE TOWARDS EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

On June 16-20, 2025, a bilateral meeting of Ukraine and the European Commission was held in Brussels (Kingdom of Belgium) as part of the official screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU law under the negotiating chapter 27 "Environment, Climate and Civil Protection".

The delegation from Ukraine in Brussels was attended by the Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the State Enterprise "State Road Transport Research Institute", Doctor of Technical Sciences. Oleksii KLYMENKO. He made three reports regarding the following directions:

1. “CO₂ Emission Performance Standards for Heavy-Duty Vehicles Monitoring and Reporting of CO₂ Emissions of Heavy-Duty Vehicles” (Regulation (EU) 2019/1242, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1079, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/1430, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1127, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1362, Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2400, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/941).
2. “CO₂ emission performance standards for cars and vans” (Regulation (EU) 2019/631, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/392, Commission Regulation (EU) No 63/2011, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 114/2013, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2767, Commission Implementing Decision 2012/100/EU, Commission Implementing Decision 2012/99/EU, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2867, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2866).
3. “Environmental Noise” (Directive 2002/49/EC).

Oleksii KLYMENKO also participated in the active discussion of the above topics and answered questions posed by members of the European Commission.
